I was in the process of subdividing our property, and needed someone to construct a new driveway into the new Lot.  I'd made a few enquiries, but with little success, and time was running along.  Then a neighbour suggested Nick Stokes, and I called him up.  I found him to be prompt and very efficient, and he knew how to handle Council.  He had the job done and passed to Council specifications in a very timely fashion.  I'd recommend him for the job anytime.

Nick and his team have undertaken a number of on farm projects for us over recent years.  These have included road construction and maintenance and dam construction.  On each occasion they have undertaken the work promptly and professionally.  The work has been undertaken as requested and they have provided timely, expert advice to ensure the best outcome while their equipment has been on site.  Each site has been left looking better than before they began the work.  Most recently they have constructed a dam for us.  In addition to producing a very well constructed dam they used their initiative to distribute surplus topsoil to areas near and around the new dam that were in need of remediation.  The material has been spread evenly to allow immediate seeding with new pasture grasses.  We have been completely satisfied with the work undertaken by Nick and his team and would not hesitate to recommend them to others requiring similar services.

We hired Stokes Contractors to build our new tennis court. Nick and the team built the court from earthworks to synthetic surfacing and fencing and even the rebound wall. We could not be happier with the result. They were a pleasure to work with throughout.

Nick Stokes and his team put down our bitumen-seal driveway about 6 years ago, and we had them back in August 2021 to seal another section of road on our rural block. The team were fast, efficient and careful, crafting our new road with particular attention to water runoff. Delighted with the result. We highly recommend the Stokes team.

Another lot of earthworks well done by Nick and his team from Stokes Contractors!! We have used Nick on various jobs over the years and have always been very satisfied with the works and the approach taken.  The great thing about Nick is his wealth of experience, he knows the land, he knows what his equipment can do and he seeks to understand what his customers are trying to do and where they are going with the works.  Advice is offered in a friendly but experienced manner then when it comes to doing the work Nick and his team simply get on with it. Our recent works involved upgrading a driveway that had deteriorated over many years, clearing and levelling space for a water tank and greenhouse, cutting in a new drive to storage containers, relocating loaded containers, working up the area and then replacing them.  This was undertaken while scheduling works around rain and very soft (water-logged) ground. My wife and I could not be happier with the work done and have more projects on the table for Nick to do as soon as the ground is dry enough to proceed.
